The Edmonton, Alberta Office of VR Business Sales and VR Mergers and Acquisitions has a team of professional business intermediaries ready to serve you. Each adheres to VR business principles, has completed VRs industry leading training, and brings a wealth of experiencing owning, operating and selling privately held businesses to our clients.
Jey Arul B.A., MBA
President
Jey is the President of VR Business Sales in Edmonton, AB. Jey began his business career by starting his own business, establishing and growing it over a number of years and successfully selling it. Jey then spent eight years in commercial banking with Bank of Montreal, consistently being promoted to more senior positions with responsibility for larger corporate clients and lending transactions. Prior to establishing VR office, Jey was Vice President with an M&A Corporate Finance group associated with a major accounting firm.
Jey has been an active member of the community. He has volunteered for The United Way and The Canadian Bankers Association and Junior Achievement. Jey is fluent in three languages and values diversity. Jey graduated from the University of Alberta with a BA in Psychology and completed an Executive MBA program from Athabasca University. In addition, Jey has also completed the Canadian Securities Course, and is a licensed commercial real estate associate in the Province of Alberta. He is also currently the Director at the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) Canada since 2010. Jey has prospered as business intermediary in Alberta over the last five years successfully brokering transactions ranging from $70,000 to $12,000,000.
Siew Cheng
VP, Operations
Siew joined VR Edmonton office in 2012 as VP of Operations.  Prior to joining VR, Siew worked in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. As a research chemist at the University of Alberta, she developed analytical methods for the analysis of pharmaceutical products and metabolites in biological fluids. In 2007, she joined Gilead Alberta as a research scientist and led her team to provide analytical support for commercial and developmental pharmaceutical product. Siew was also involved in the strategic planning and laboratory design for two expansions of Quality Control department at Gilead Alberta. Siew brings her organizational skills as well as project and team management skills to enhance VR operations for future growth.
Gary Repchuk, MBA
VP, Business Acquisitions
During his 30+ years as a banking executive Mr. Repchuk’s led one of Canada’s largest credit unions through six successful mergers and in his last two years at the credit union his role included partnerships and new business development that focused on supporting large corporate clients. In addition he also ensured that operationally the credit union was positioned the credit union for the competitive banking environment by leading change and implementing solutions delivered the highest level of service at the lowest possible cost.
In his last three years as a consultant he has brokered unique banking arrangements between clients and financial institutions and provided his clients and partners unparalleled access to his Canadian and International contacts in banking, payments, processing and general business. He has worked throughout North America, China and the Philippines for his clients and brings an international experience to his new role as VP, Business Development.
Nathalie Lacroix
VP, Business Acquisitions
Nathalie Lacroix brings extensive experience as a franchise development manager and Para-legal in Ontario and Quebec. She moved to Alberta in 2009 and continued to expand her franchise sales consulting business and recently became a licensed real estate associate in Alberta.
After working for many years in law firms and studying contract law at the University of Montreal, Nathalie ventured into the exciting world of franchise development with A&W Foods Services of Canada Inc. for almost 5 years.
Fluent in French and English, Nathalie’s specialty is in Buyer Representation. That is, she works directly with business buyers – individual owner/operators, investors or corporations to clearly define the specific type of business that is right for them … then goes out and finds it! Nathalie is widely respected by, and has close working relationships with various Franchise organizations and she is working on introducing several new concepts to the Alberta market soon.
Nicole Banaszczyk
Client Services Manager
Nicole joined the VR team as an Customer Service Manager as of November 2011. She has 5 years of previous client service experience as well as 2 years of administrative relations. Her enthusiastic and hard working personality always strives to build excellent client rapports and is proud to call VR her new home to which she can pursue her dreams and career in the field of business sales and business valuation.
On her spare time, Nicole enjoys several outdoor activities including quading and camping. When she’s not busy outside, she will be watching movies with her cats and lizard, reading autobiographies, and mixing up concoctions in the kitchen.
